What is to be said about 'Choices & Decisions'
"I admire this game, if we are to talk about it as a method of learning about HIV and related issues. Even in a class where one has one period of teaching, you cannot combine a lot of topics at one time.. 'Choices & Decisions' ... manages to teach so many topics at one goal. I mean, let's be realistic, who can manage to do that apart from 'Choices & Decisions'" Teacher from Malawi
"Nairn Academy Young Leaders are taking part in an ongoing cultural exchange with
Chipasula Community School in Malawi. The Dreams and Teams Project supported by the
British Council and Youth Sport Trust has the theme of peer education, leadership and
health & well-being. In June 2008 11 Young Leaders and three staff travelled to Malawi
where they organised Health Days, Sports Festivals, Cultural Days and trained Malawi
pupils to be sports leaders. One of the topics for discussion on the Health Day was
HIV & AIDS - in order to get the message across to the Malawi youngster we used
'Choices& Decisions'. This game proved to be an excellent tool - not only did it give
clear information on the shared challenges of being a young person in today's society -
no matter which culture you came from - but playing the game opened opportunities for
communication between the young people on subjects that might normally have been difficult
to approach." - Elizabeth McDonald Active School Co-ordinator Nairn Cluster
